During the warm weather months of May through September, orders containing chocolate must be shipped with additional care to arrive safely and in perfect condition.
During this time, all orders containing chocolate ship with cold packaging comprised of insulated foil bags and re-usable frozen gel packs designed to maintain a safe, cool temperature. A short transit time is necessary, so orders will ship via UPS 2-day or overnight delivery, and will not be sent on Thursdays or Fridays (to avoid weekend storage).
The weight of the cold packaging coupled with the express delivery required does add to the cost of shipping chocolate bars during the summer. For the most affordable shipping, place an order before May for your summer event – our chocolate bars will remain fresh for up to a year if stored correctly. For fall or winter events, consider either waiting to place your order for chocolate until September or later, or request that we place a hold on shipping until our warm weather restrictions are removed. We’re happy to help!
While we are very experienced in packaging chocolate to protect it from the heat, we cannot responsible for chocolate bars that melt or otherwise become damaged during shipping.
