Changing the Colors for a Design

You can change the color of just about any element you see in just about every design we offer (complex or multiple changes may be subject to an additional fee).  Please describe your requested change in the special instructions box when ordering, noting the color code from our color chart (below).

We do not recommend customizing colors for RUSH orders as this may cause a delay in processing your order. For more information, please read about order processing.

What do you charge for custom colors?

Colors marked with a star indicate a premium color that will incur an additional charge when used as a background or for a large area of coverage ($.10 additional per wrapper). Changing the background or other large-coverage area to any non-premium color is available free of charge.  Complex or multiple color changes to a design will be subject to our design modification fee ($15.00 minimum).

Can you match a specific color?

If matching a specific color is important to you or would like the item to match a specific color from your event's theme or decor, please request a sample of the design you want to customize. Our sample kit includes our color chart showing the colors we can accurately reproduced on your custom item. Once you receive our color chart and sample, return to our site to place your order and specify the color number(s) you would like to see on your design. If you have a Pantone® color that you would like us to match, please contact us for more information.

We do not recommend customizing the colors of your wrapper design if you require your order within 3-4 weeks. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the color chart and sample to arrive.

Custom Color Chart

If you do not have a specific color in mind, and instead just want to change the design to a "close enough" color, review the color chart below and note the color code you would like in the special instructions box when placing your order.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ:
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors on this chart. However, as the actual colors you see will depend on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any color will be accurate. Colors viewed on a screen are often different to colors view on a printed item as monitors and printers operate in different color spaces. This chart is provided for those looking to select a "close enough" color for their item.

If a specific color is important to you, DO NOT SELECT a color from chart below, and instead request a sample kit and color chart.

Tips for customizing colors

  • When selecting a background color, we recommend selecting lighter or medium colors for best results.
  • If possible, select colors are that similar in saturation and density to the colors that appear in the original design. For example, if the original background color is light green, we suggest picking a light, pastel, or medium color. Selecting a dark color when the original design is light will cause other elements in the design to lose contrast and appear dark or "muddy".
  • Text and other fine elements appear best when printed in medium or dark colors on light backgrounds.
  • If you are changing the color of a striped or patterned element, you can specifiy new colors for both the light and dark areas or just specifiy the darker color and we will lighten it for the second shade.
  • If you have a Pantone® color that you would like us to match, please contact us for more information.
  • If would like to change any design elements, we suggest you order one of our custom design packages. Read more about our Custom Design Packages.

Can I mail you a swatch to match?

We are not able to mix our colors to match a specific swatch or item, other than the colors displayed in the chart above. Please select the closest color or a complimentary color from our custom color guide.
